QuizWonder

Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information QuizWonder collects, why we collect it, how we use and protect it, and the choices and rights you have.

Last updated: October 22, 2026 Effective: October 22, 2026 Applies to the QuizWonder app and website

In short: we collect the information needed to create your account, run multiplayer quizzes and duels, keep your progress, and let you play with friends. We do not sell your personal information. You can request access to or deletion of your account data at any time.

We do not ask for your precise location, contacts, camera, microphone, SMS, or call logs. QuizWonder is intended for people aged 12 and over.

1. Who we are

QuizWonder ("QuizWonder", "we", "us", or "our") provides the QuizWonder trivia game, including its Android application and the website at quizwonder.com. We are the controller of the personal information described in this policy.

This policy applies when you use the QuizWonder app, create an account, play a game, chat with other players, contact us, or visit our website. It does not apply to third-party websites or services that we do not control.

2. Information we collect

We collect information in three ways: information you give us, information created when you play, and technical information collected automatically.

2.1. Information you provide

  • Account information: username, email address, phone number (if you register or verify by phone), password, language, and country.
  • Profile information: first name, last name, avatar image, motto, "about me" text, and other profile details you choose to add.
  • Communications: messages you send through in-game chats, reactions, friend requests, and feedback or support requests you send to us.
  • User content: images you upload, such as your avatar, and any content you include in messages or feedback.

Some information is required to create an account, such as a username and a login method (email or phone). Other details, such as your name, avatar, motto, and "about me" text, are optional.

2.2. Gameplay information

When you play, we collect information needed to run the game and keep your progress, including:

  • answers, scores, stars, ratings, and game results;
  • game history, including multiplayer battles and 1v1 duels;
  • achievements, power-ups, and other in-game progress;
  • friends, friend requests, and other social connections; and
  • timestamps and technical events related to a game session.

2.3. Technical and device information

When you use the app or website, we and our service providers may automatically collect:

  • device model, operating system version, app version, and language settings;
  • a device identifier, such as your Android ID or a randomly generated app-specific identifier, used to keep you signed in and deliver notifications;
  • IP address, connection times, and server or security logs; and
  • diagnostic information about app performance, errors, and service availability.

2.4. Notification information

If you enable notifications, we process the device identifier and notification token needed to send you game updates, such as a new battle, a friend request, or the Question of the Day. Our service providers may process delivery information needed to send the notification. You can turn notifications off in the app or in your device settings.

2.5. Battery and background information

To deliver notifications while using as little battery as possible, the app may check your battery level and charging status locally on your device. This information is used to decide when background sync should run. In the current version, it is not sent to our servers.

Background sync is limited to at most once per hour, may run when your device is charging and the battery is above 20%, and can be disabled in the app settings.

2.6. What we do not collect

QuizWonder does not request access to your contacts, camera, microphone, precise location, SMS messages, or call logs. We do not collect health data or biometric data. If this changes in a future version, we will update this policy and, where required, ask for your permission first.

2.7. Cookies, local storage, and similar technologies

We use local storage and similar technologies in the app and on the website to keep you signed in, remember your preferences (such as language and theme), maintain security, and understand basic usage. These technologies are not used for third-party behavioral advertising. You can clear local storage through your browser or device settings, but some features may stop working.

  • understand how the app is used in aggregate so we can improve it.

3.1. Legal bases (EEA, UK, and Switzerland)

Where the General Data Protection Regulation or similar law applies, we rely on the following legal bases:

  • Contract: to provide the app, your account, and the features you request.
  • Legitimate interests: to keep the service secure, prevent abuse, improve the game, and understand how it is used, where those interests are not overridden by your rights.
  • Consent: for optional features such as notifications, where consent is required. You can withdraw consent at any time.
  • Legal obligation: to comply with applicable law and lawful requests.

4. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We may share information only in the following circumstances:

  • Service providers. Companies that help us operate QuizWonder, such as hosting, storage, email or SMS delivery, security, and technical support providers. They may process information only on our instructions and under appropriate confidentiality and data protection terms.
  • Other players. Your username, avatar, profile details you choose to show, scores, game statistics, and messages are visible to other players as part of the game's social features. Your email address, phone number, and password are not shown to other players.
  • Legal and safety reasons. We may disclose information if we believe it is necessary to comply with law or a lawful request, protect the safety of any person, investigate fraud or abuse, or protect our rights and property.
  • Business transfers. If QuizWonder is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this policy and applicable law.
  • With your consent. We may share information for other purposes when you ask us to or give us permission.

5. Public profiles and chats

QuizWonder includes public or semi-public features. Your username, avatar, profile information, scores, achievements, and game results may be visible to other players, including through search, friend lists, and leaderboards. Messages you send in game chats are delivered to the other participants and may be stored so they can be displayed later.

Please do not share sensitive personal information, passwords, or financial details in your profile or in chats. You are responsible for the content you choose to share with others.

6. Notifications and background activity

If you allow notifications, QuizWonder may run a foreground service and use a persistent connection to receive game updates. The app may also start after your device restarts so that notifications continue to work. You can disable notifications in the app settings or in your Android settings, and you can stop background activity by restricting the app in your device settings or by signing out.

To keep notifications reliable, the app may ask you to exclude it from battery optimization. This is optional. If you decline, some notifications may be delayed or not delivered.

7. How long we keep information

We keep personal information for as long as your account is active and for as long as needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, and enforce our agreements.

  • Temporary accounts. If you create a temporary account and do not add an email address or phone number, the account and its data may be deleted after 30 days of inactivity.
  • Deleted accounts. When you request deletion, we will delete or anonymize your account information within a reasonable period, except where we need to keep certain information for legal, security, or fraud-prevention reasons.
  • Backups and logs. Residual copies may remain in backups and security logs for a limited period until they are overwritten or deleted in the ordinary course.

8. Account deletion and your choices

You can ask us to delete your QuizWonder account and associated personal information at any time.

To request deletion, email bomapp@nt202.com from the email address associated with your account, using the subject line "Delete my QuizWonder account". If you registered by phone, include the phone number you used. We may ask you to verify that you control the account before we proceed.

We aim to complete verified deletion requests within 30 days. We may keep limited information where required by law, for security and fraud prevention, or to resolve a dispute. Information that is needed to prevent abuse may be retained in a restricted form.

You can also:

  • update or correct your profile information in the app;
  • change your language, theme, sound, and notification settings in the app;
  • remove or replace your avatar;
  • manage friends and chats; and
  • disable notifications through Android settings.

9. Security

We use technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. 12.2. Other regions

If your local law gives you additional rights, we will honor those rights in accordance with that law. Contact us if you have questions about which rights apply to you.

13. Advertising

The current version of QuizWonder does not include third-party advertising SDKs. If we introduce advertising in the future, we will update this policy and the app's store listing before ads are shown, and we will provide any choices required by applicable law.

14. Third-party services and links

The app may contain links to websites or services that we do not operate, such as our website or external pages opened from the app. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties. Please review their privacy policies before providing them with personal information.

We use service providers to host and operate QuizWonder. These providers process information on our behalf and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes, except as necessary to provide their services to us or as required by law.

15. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will post the updated policy on this page, update the "Last updated" date, and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Your continued use of QuizWonder after an update means you accept the updated policy.
